10 years....

I'll always remember. I'll never forget. I'll always be grateful for those who continue to serve, to protect, to fight.

I took this day, on the 10 year anniversary of 9-11, to finally bring it up to Sage. She asked a lot of questions, some very difficult for me to answer. We hugged and we cried together. We cried for those that were lost. For the fact that some people are so "mean" in the world that they would purposely hurt another human being. For the fact that we continue to lose brave men and women over it. I cried also because I knew I was taking a little bit of her innocence away from her. It's another day I'll never forget.
